They danced like fairies, under the lamps;
An unstringed mobile in a windless dawn;
A stream of morning consciousness swamp,
Etheral stillness, mesmerizing rhythm,
Soundless, temporary wings, under the lamps;
The morning star, a lone bright light, kept
Sentient watch over night's dissolving ramp;
Assembling cloud wisps into grey mounds;
Fragile wings in courtship attraction to amps,
In the quiet street enlivening the new morning;
Rain flies, in amber glow under the lamps.
