Rain Song - Poem by Alexander Rixton

Rain falls again
A song to emotions with you
It sings to me not of these lonely days,
but mornings held in your embrace;
basking in the warmth of your deep burning eyes
When i felt nothing but love and tender skin to explore

With a gentle look over your shoulder, all my insecurities drift away,
content at what they see
Small stirring movements, an arch of your back emboldens my lips on
as the rain continues to wash away to many young years of pain.

But here now.
These southern rains finally fill my wishing well until it overflows,
with droplets falling onto once sweet sheets
Each a piece of this puzzle that forms my peace with you
