Satish Gujral (5) .... Life With Kiran Poem by Rajnish Manga

Satish Gujral (5) .... Life With Kiran

Rating: 5.0

Satish had suffered a lot since his childhood
And the trauma remained the part of his art
His paintings reflected the upheavels of life
But with Kiran coming into life as better half
The lines and the colours became exuberant
The pain softened; silence got an expression
Warmer shades and colours replaced despair
Structures, lines and colours were disciplined
And more pronounced in his form and style.

Satis Gujral the younger brother of late Mr I K Gujral, the former Prime Minister of India is a well known painter, sculptor and architect of India. He had suffered a lot since his childhood and the trauma remained the part of his art You have touchingly inscribed his pain with his art here. A well executed poem shared amazingly.10

Thanks for your kind words and appreciation, Zaynab Ma'am. Satish is one of the most celebrated artists (painter, sculptor and architect) in India today. He is in his nineties.

Kiran sounds like a painter who has overcome problems and trauma to become a very good artist. A fine poem indeed.

I do agree but in the present case, the artist's wife Kiran proved to be a big moral and emotional support in life. Thanks for your kind visit and comments, Nadia Umber.
