Spring Blues Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Spring Blues

Rating: 5.0

Shower clouds are over my coffee
I have known that early spring
Will be the hardest to accept
As the winter will not let go
And will continue to tease us; off and on
But I know spring will come
As the climate does not change
However, I have my doubts
For some, it doesn't exist

The thought of winter coming is brutal. And waiting for Spring can be somewhat distressing. Your last line has motivated me to take a first-ever Caribbean cruise to break up the cold winter.

there is a saying in Hindi 'Sawan Hare na Bhado Sukhe'...roughly it translates ' spring doesn't bring greens, winter doesn't bring dry. Your poem reminded me of that.
