Spring Gives A Cheer (Sequel To ' Falling') Poem by Hazel Durham

Spring Gives A Cheer (Sequel To ' Falling')

Rating: 4.8

Love is spinning,
We are winning,
You are the force of the wind blowing free,
I'm the knarled branches of an old oak tree,
Embracing your passion,
As with your magnetic force,
We are now on the same course,
Loving is living and forgiving,
We meet again from a sullen place,
When there was a dark cloud on your face,
Spring is striding in and gives a cheer,
I can see your ingrained fear
Has gone out the door with your falling tears,
We become prisoners of our past,
We lose our fears as spring gives a cheer,
We are at the start of our new horizon,
With the sweet sound of birds singing,
We hold hands forever like the tide caressing the sea shore,
As we reflect deep desire from our eyes,
Reaching our hearts core.

This one doesn't flow as well as some of your poems but all the same some wonderful touches contained within............ Loving is living and forgiving, ......... Spring is the time to shake off the dreary memories (of winter?) . Spring is the season of rebirth. A time to love and live, to forgive and forget. A lovely sentiment expressed in this poem.

As the spring strides into your life opening up new horizons and obliterating past memories, the sweetness of love slowly unfolds. Loved the poem thoroughly. Thanks for sharing.

A lot of warmth and sunshine have entered your life with the arrival of spring! It is foolish to write off life! There is a silver lining even amid dark clouds! 'Love is living and forgiving'! A great realization! Forget the past and splurge in the luxury of the present! A great write!

Superb and inspiring poem, I quote: We lose our fears as spring gives a cheer, We are at the start of our new horizon, With the sweet sound of birds singing, We hold hands forever like the tide caressing the sea shore, As we reflect deep desire from our eyes, Reaching our hearts core.

this is so lovely, i like the rhythm that accompany the reader till the end spring, can give a metaphorical sense, or (in my personal ideas) i saw it as a symbol of freshness, love and cheers. a real nice and beautiful poem
