Ssshhh!
Slowly, softly, silently stalking
Stepping, slinking, squeezingpastthe
Shining, shimmering, scintillating
Bars of gold that threaten to
Stultify, stymie, stun into
Submission, subservience, somnolence.
A moment of lost concentration
And then
Spotted, stopped, stunned.
Momentarily squashed, squeezed and smitten.
Stumbling, stooping, slowing,
Stopping. Settling. Sleeping.
In the sunshine.
A cat.

Love this. Cats seem like such naive newcomers in some ways, fierce hunters though they may be.
Such imagination was used to describe this poem: by the time finished reading it I wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry - burst into tears? ? ? Congratulation for being recognise for the day!
