Tell them
Poem By Soran M. H

Tell them not to make war
Shakespeare will get upset
The Iliad and the Odyssey will lose their names
Tolstoy will cry for us
The earth needs some rest in peace
*
Tell them not to make war
The birds will forget their flight
Fishes will float on the surface
Church bells will stop ringing
and Adhan from the minarets will be quite
*
The environment is not too well
Tell them not to make war
The sun will stay dark
Flowers will wither
As if they smell of gunpowder
*
I know they don't listen to you
but I wonder
the Spanish Bull is angry it fights
when it sees red
but why do human beings like blood sheds?
I don't know!
*
when the war starts
the poets will stop writing
and faint at the colour of blood

Tell them not to make war.
