The Altantic Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

The Altantic

Rating: 5.0

Let me breathe the salty air of the sea
To remove the foul one of the city
Where my lover resides
I watch the gulls fly around my head
As I give them the leftover bread
And go into the Altantic
To be blessed by its coldness
Walking along the shore
I think of my love in a cold-water flat
Breathing that polluted wind from the factories
That washes their lungs with coal
I bathe them with thissea breeze
As I pulled them out of the city
My soul is renewed

I love this Poem! That returns us to our natual habitats and Sea mother. So beautifully written and truly intense! Poetically and humanly perfect too. A high caliber pearl that will be loved by those who feel, love and admire, great poetry.

The wonderful images embedded in this poem transported me into the great Atlantic. A well expressed poem tinged with sarcasm on what people do with the environment. Top Marks!

Nature is always great to refresh one's self from the harsh life of the city. Excellent work, my friend.

I love the way you use the contrasting environments to express bittersweet love. A beautiful and brilliant piece of work, LeeAnn!
