The Clock Of Life Is Ticking
the workers toil
the farmers plow
description the housewives cook
and take care of the children
dads come home tired from office work
while the clock is ticking
day in day out
week in week out
month in month out
The same schedule over and over for years
with the weary-same theme
the holidays are very refreshing
also costs a lot of money all the expenses
meanwhile the clock is ticking
every day it takes the life of one worker
cleaned up all the garbage in one dungeon,
but like the clock at home is ticking
doesn't it tick anywhere
philosophy of life
Lovely poem! Reminds me of Ernest Dowson's famous verse-They are not long, the days of wine and roses: Out of a misty dream Our path emerges for a while, then closes Within a dream.
The intricacies of life and time is always a part of our life.
Wonderfully written poem dear Sylvia, and it's so true time is consuming us, time is a sword if we don't cut it, he will cut us.
