The Cold Killer Poem by Sylvia Frances Chan

The Cold Killer

Rating: 4.5

The Cold Killer

'You gave everything
and headed straight through the sea,
you braved storms and waves,
you just didn't have the wind',

I read at the head of a mourning ad
young mother, a very successful businesswoman
left two teenage sons.
Their father overcome with grief
He behaves with dignity

she was always very successful in everything she did
with excellent results, but made no time for a final one
control in the hospital.
Meanwhile, the cold killer was still nearby

Sylvia, I'm not certain why, but I was getting a very strong impression that the young mother had committed suicide. Am I in the ballpark? Doesn't really matter because the poem is excellent at keeping the reader guessing. Love it!

I agree. I get the same feeling.

The poem is a reminder to everyone who pursues career goals with zest, but ignores own health….success is only relative, but death is absolute

A great symbolic poem. Cold killer must be the death. Interesting tale of life that ends at the hand of a cold killer. Profound!
