The Eagle Poem by lady grace
The Eagle
soaring high
with wings stretched many times
and alert eyes open wide
until it landed.....landed in the surface...
the moon
the lovely moon
with deep craters on its face
and stone-like sands
with no air to breath...
the world waited
as the struggle clasp the universe
curious, wandering, aware
like a slipper waken in the night
by a far away sound
a moment sent more than understood
one small step for man
and a gigantic record for mankind...
the voice of an eagle
sounds like trumpet in heaven
flashing like stars in the sky
conveying convincing
of a simple eagle that can soar
to the eventful phenomenon
where no one can reach
by its normal distinction...
the world is waiting
for the eagle’s return
to shout for its success
to prove that there’s no such place like moon...
The eagle is your's........but this keeps bird certain grace, and greatness in habits......flys high live on high rocks, eats his own hunted, needs high respects.....

The eagle symbolises strength, pride and will. The piece has a wonderful description.

An eagle, though a bird, can reach such a height where a man cannot reach. The idea is very good.

This poem can be enjoyed at many levels Lady Grace.. I wonder whether the image of eagle has a symbolic value.. you know many other poets have used such images to convey much great message about the human nature itself.. Ted Hughes for instance have used the image of 'Hawk' to good affect in his poem 'Hawk Roosting'.. your work is very nice too... In a symbolic sense cant we say that we all are waiting for some all seeing gigantic eagle who will save this world from great plight! ! ! ..... Anyway.. made me think..
