The Global Touch Poem by Hazel Durham

The Global Touch

Rating: 4.8

The end of another years performance,
The fluttering of leaves waltzing
In a cold easterly breeze,
Flowers of the forest, hiding their beauty
Within their secret lairs,
The oceans fury, relentless without care,
Sunsets blazing with hope, for us all to be fair.

Rainbows bringing rich, deep colour,
To our sometimes black and white world,
The river of life meandering,
Along it's usual course,
Times of terrible remorse,
Feelings of rejection, depression,
A negativity session.

Pictures of families smiling,
With comfort in their eyes,
Blue skies, endless miles
Of road, not yet discovered,
Mountains ancient, patient
Rejoicing for every nation,
Elements of nature rehearsing,
With confidence.

Optimism unites, dances with life,
Curtain calls, standing ovation,
Sizzling sensation,
With the stars shining with glee,
The moon bowing in delight,
For the dawning of a bright new year,
With remaining tears,
For our loved ones now departed.

May our spinning world,
Become dizzy
With the power of love,
Peace, happiness,
The global touch of tenderness,
On this earths,
Very delicate loveliness.
