The Night Poem by Nosheen Irfan

The Night

Rating: 5.0

As the moonlight spilled its coolness
on the stirring waves of the night
someone might have thought
how beautiful it is to be alive
how warm the hug of the darkness
as it cradles your pain and rocks it
gently that you don't want the night to end
for the new dawn has just been a cliche that
the heart has invented for convenience.

There is a pertinent reason to embrace the night. These lines justify your stance: "how beautiful it is to be alive how warm the hug of the darkness as it cradles your pain and rocks it gently that you don't want the night to end"Beautifully penned!
