Everyday is a poem to them
an anthem to the universe
dispersed then sudden arisen
a night into a sudden day
playfully now and then fighting
stars in a bed full of dust
crushing the earth into colours
sand-dust their faces with crystals
masks arising, masks surprising
here a grown man
or an antelope
a lion chasing a rabbit
a mantis jumping a tree
a child trying to be that tree
a flower arising as bird
a spotted flower field
a hunter that's shooting the moon
a star that is kissing the sun
enthralling these moments delight
with an art overshadowing splendour
i never doubt in who is wild
it never was a nature's child
and it never will be
it's our thoughts
that we are civilised
it's not them, it's us, it's we
envying their joy through suffering
a way of joy for us almost forgotten
now let us then bring offerings
and put some musing on our strings
sing them some songs of welcoming
everyday is a poem to us
an anthem to the universe
dispersed then sudden arisen
a night into a sudden day.

everyday is a poem to us an anthem to the universe dispersed then sudden arisen a night into a sudden day. Nice concuding lines of a touching poem!
The poem opens and closes beautifully: 'everyday is a poem to us an anthem to the universe dispersed then sudden arisen a night into a sudden day' - loved these lines!
The Omo River in southern Ethiopia is the largest Ethiopian river outside the Nile Basin. Its course is entirely contained within the boundaries of Ethiopia, and it empties into Lake Turkana on the border with Kenya. The river is the principal stream of an endorheic drainage basin, the Turkana Basin. The tribal groups of this valley are different in their cultures and beliefs; whatever your poem is very beautifully crated on the valley.
everyday is a poem to us an anthem to the universe dispersed then sudden arisen a night into a sudden day......beautifully written the poem on the beautiful people of the OMO valley and Hans Silvester, a member of the Rapho photographic agency. In this poem everything about the nature of the valley is delineated acutely; in every tribal people there are many lessons to learn the general people; congrats for being selected the poem as POD- -5****
