The Poet And The Clown. Poem by Sandra Feldman

The Poet And The Clown.

Rating: 5.0

Who will be able
To convince
The judging Public
Best?
The Poet
Or the Clown.

They both
Sadness and happiness
Suggest,
But compete
For the little
Truth,
That still, stumbles
Around,
Our worldly,
Nest.

And They're both
More similar
Than guessed...
For under that
Wide sad
Smile
Of the Clown
The Poet's
Sadness
Also, rests.

Traditionally, poets have been very successful at convincing the judging public. And are totally despised by autocrats because they're not afraid of speaking out.

A true poet should be able to express all the characteristics and emotions of Mankind so in a sense can be both depending on ones perspective. Well expressed poem.

In my humble opinion, a true Poet never hides anything. Happiness and sadness always reflect in his works. They speak the truth about humanity and always take a stand in everything.
