The Poets Of Poem Hunter
The Poets of PH rise and fall,
Appear and disappear, one and all
A few have staying power, and stand tall
Some stay the course, but not all.
Some take a break, and then return
Some change their name, once they've been burned
On here for friends, or points, or to vent,
This site is not solely for talent.
They've had their 15 minutes of fame,
But now, others barely recall their name.
But those who're here for self-expression
Get their reward in satisfaction.
And, as for members who have died,
Their poems are on this site archived.
Well said my friend. A very relatable poem. I like the rhyme at the end. :)
True, writers contribute to this site for many varied reason. Your poem was both informative and humorous as our intentions are not all the same. But let it be a long time before any of our works are archived.
A hearty Amen to that, Cap'n! But I have friends on here who've been on here much longer than I, and many of THEIR original friends haven't posted or commented in YEARS. And then you look at their ages, and do the math.... We already have older members on here who are archived. Though not famous classical, poets, some of them are quite talented. But I agree with you, let us continue taking vitamins and working out, and churning out really good poetry!

I liked this very much. Short, simple but very thought provoking. The last two lines are a great summation.
