The Syringe Murders Poem by Shaun Cronick

The Syringe Murders

Rating: 5.0

This poem has a point,
That is honed at it's end.
For murder is most foul,
So let us not pretend.

Many, many horrific murders,
Of men most dark and foul.
Injected with deadly toxins,
By a killer on the prowl.

She relishes in her work,
Dispatching evil at her will.
For she is a learning chemist,
Accessing poisons of the ill.

She thrusts her needle in so deep,
Injecting venoms for permanent sleep.
Each victim gasps on their last breath,
Administered from her syringe of death.

It gives her such a moral kick,
To see the evil guilty fall.
For each one is a vicious rapist,
And she feels no remorse at all.

They never see her coming,
In disguise with which her work is done.
For this avenging petite woman...
Innocently dressed as a Catholic nun.

A dark and gripping poem. I can only imagine that this is how some kids feel when they get their jabs at school. Superbly crafted- 10.

Thank you for your generous comment Bryony. And those school jabs were dished out by the smiling angel of death! ! And I just put up another dark one called Jack The Ripper Returns. Enjoy and thanks again. Take care.

Thank you again Rose Marie for another kind and simply wonderful comment. You know how I like to write, to put a surprise or two in the last stanza and as your good self spotted the last line. I'm glad you enjoyed it and I thank you again Rose Marie.

A well constructed poem that stated the evil an ailment of life. It is so sad that we have to go through such miseries and brutal phenomena in the world. I love such academic and informative poems. Thanks for sharing. +++10.
