Young and far from home,
She was on her own.
Frightened and excited, at the same time,
She'd made up her mind to shine.
Landed a job with generous pay,
Went on shopping sprees every day.
Spread out her treasures on her bed,
But disappointment filled her head.
An empty pang struck at her heart
As she discovered, with a start,
Many possessions can't replace
The love our souls need to embrace.
Thank you, Louis. You know how the old saying goes: 'Love people, Use things' (And not the other way around!)
Thank you, Mahtab. As the Beatles used to sing, 'Money can't buy me love.'
