To My Mother, My Unique Angel - Poem by Jawad Al Harake

Mother, I'm writing this letter
Which may be the last
So, I thought it is better
To write before becoming from the past
I'm writing this letter to tell thee that
I'm very sorry and sad, very proud and glad

I'm very sorry for every action I did
That didn't please thee and brought agony
I'm very sorry for every word I said
That hurt thee inside deeply
I apologize for all stupid thoughts I had
That made me a monster and drove me mad

I'm very sad for the day may be near
When you leave me alone
Facing life's hardships and my own fear
And dealing with people having hearts of stone
And when thinking of this day, I cry
Why shall this day come? Why?

And why shan't I be so much proud?
When having the best mother in the world
And let the whole world hear; I'll shout
Uttering the second most sacred word
'MOTHER'. You're a unique angel to me
I'm the proudest person for having thee

I'm very glad for I finally became
The man you've always wanted me to be
A man of strong personality and great aim
A man who uses his mind to see thoroughly
Through life the right from the wrong
And never surrenders for obstacles, but always be strong

Mother, this letter I will end
But, it isn't the last hope
For there are millions I want to send
Saying that you are the rope
Which without I'll certainly fall
Into the deepest, deepest hole
