People in power,
From the highest phobia suffer
With an unseen enemy
They are in shadow fight.
Even an innocent joke, seen as a mutiny
A gentle murmur, a conspiracy!
The mightiest thus turn,
The most vulnerable in effect!
Ah they then suffer from a form of xenophobia where the banshee of their political death haunts them! Good insight.

A thoughtful write on truth about people in power and in politics. May be the insecurity takes the form of phobia. Beautifully presented the truth in few lines...Loved it.

You have captured well the phobia people in power experience and their vulnerability.Short and crisp poem, Valsa!
People in power suffer from the phobia and people who work for them suffer due to that. Nice poem.
True. That is why power tends to corrupt. Obsession with power and control makes people vulnerable - even to the slightest criticism. Great insight!
