In all of the Christmas nativity scenes
that I have seen, there are always cows
and sheep, sometimes goats and donkeys
but I have never seen one with a horse.
Were there no horses in Bethlehem
back in those days?
Were the shepherds always on foot
while they were tending their flocks?
What a great tool a horse would have
been to them!
Some of my best friends are horses.
Nothing is more valuable to a cowboy
than a good horse.
I think horses should at least have
equal rights with donkeys
in nativity scenes.
For every donkey in a nativity scene,
there should be at least one horse.
Write to your congressman at once!
Were there no horses in Bethlehem back in those days? -it makes me to think about the equal rights of horses with donkeys
Some of my best friends are horses. Nothing is more valuable to a cowboy than a good horse.....endearing expression! I admire your love for your horses!
You are a master of subtle humor. This tongue-in-cheek writing had me laughing until my sides hurt!
Top marks for this entertaining poem, my friend. I so needed a good laugh!
One horse fled the premises with cowboy-not-so-wise-man in hot pursuit. Another horse sought sanctuary inside the church. The third horse was bomb and spotlight proof
But I agree! A horse for every manger scene. But make sure to hold practices at night--one local church practiced in the day and had replaced camels with three horses. Things went west at night.

I would like to translate this poem
You have me laughing myself off my chair! ! ! Dang, that was a fun read! ! ! Only the rich and the Romans had horses so I fear our best friends had better accomodations
