Where Do Poems Come From? - Poem by Sharyn Owen

In Iceland, where earth’s crust breaks,
Boiling mud
Oozes free
Making creeks and lakes,
Which bubble and steam
And change the landscape.

In my head, ideas speak
Scalding words,
Forcing out
Lines and stanzas
Which say what I feel
And would like to change.
