Who Doesn't Want
Not looking for forgiveness
my soul I pray to keep
to rescue this, a lonely heart
down along a lonely street
Who doesn't long for someone
to hold tightly, in embrace
who doesn't wish for kisses
to be placed onto their face
For someone just, to hold on to
through the good times and the bad
to take you strongly by the hand
leads you to where life is calm
Who doesn't want that someone
to love and understand
who doesn't want to been shown love
without them needing to be told.
Who doesn't want this.
We all want this dear Annette, to love...to understand...to look into green eyes and make a connection, to embrace commitment and to swim together in the deep, we want this and we need it, your poetry is so very appealing and attractive as well, as Susan said...very well written!
You know, it always great to know our heart can cling to someone...but it rather be the good one or you maybe say i prefer be like now than suffering...i saw some sweet thing some really bad things happened...after all i wish you and everybody will have someone that really care each other like river and ocean
Wonderful poem Annette, love and friendship are two things this world needs a lot more of.

Who doesn't want those things, indeed? I think everyone can relate to this. Thanks for sharing.

I would like to translate this poem
Such yearning in this piece, and it expresses the yearning of so many people, too many people, leading lonely, faces-pressed-against-the-windows lives. Sometimes a touch of a stranger's hand on our own hand, or an understanding meeting of the eyes, can help a person get through the stark loneliness of a sad sad day. Very well written, Annette. 10+++++++++++++
