Wild Blueberry Poem by Rob Lamberton

Wild Blueberry

Rating: 5.0

Steep sloped approach
Purple stained hands and lips
Fresh mountain breeze
The scent of blueberries

Wild fall chill
I scramble for more
Will I ever get enough
My blueberry girl

The last line delivers a great tonal shift. Much of the poem reminds me of Plath, and then the last line takes a terrific detour. Brilliant verse, Rob.
