Yesterday Too (Revised) Poem by Heather Burns

Yesterday Too (Revised)

Rating: 5.0

Yesterday returning to
Poppy's Garden
it was a beautiful day
spring flowers were in
bloom
essence filled the air

for a moment I was taken
back
visions of the past flooded
my mind
once again a small girl sat
on her poppy's lap

softly reading to her from
the childrens Bible
always leading in a certain
direction
many lessons were taught
there
molding her into the person
she is today

encouraging always' be
the best that you can be'
he didn't want to go
I begged my hero stay
she would trade tomorrow
For another yesterday.
