You Can Choose Poem by Practicing Poetess

You Can Choose

Rating: 2.5

In everybody's past
There are good things to be embraced,
Bad things to be erased.
While happy memories shape you,
The bad ones nearly break you.
The bad ones turn to ugly scars,
While good ones help you reach the stars.
But scars will fade with time,
When you renew your mind.
So, good or bad,
Or win or lose,
You get to choose.
It's really up to you.

Thanks for appreciating, Edward Kofi! Yeppers, Life can leave scars sometimes. And some are invisible to the eye.

We do indeed get to choose what memories to focus on but the bad ones have a way of creeping in. I do pretty well with running the bad ones away. The poem is well done.

Thanks for reading and commenting so promptly and positively, Barry The bad ones are indeed intrusive, but you just keep running them off- - Leaves more room for the good ones! Good evening to you; Sleep tight, and Sweet Dreams! :)
