You Touched Something Poem by Patricia Gale

You Touched Something

Like red on a rose
The dew in the morning
The scent of lilies in the sun
You touched something...

The sound of a wild full moon
The passion only in the movies
Stars that shine like diamonds
You touched something…..

The scent left on your pillow
The lingering feel of your touch
Invisible dreams in daylight
You touched something…..

Blinded by a blizzard in mid winter
A penny on the tracks with a fast moving train
Left standing in the rain without an umbrella
You touched something…..

There's a rarefied and enchanted atmosphere in this poem. It's entitled 'You touched something' but one feels something impalpable. Symbolistic, I'd say.
