You Will Have To Return Poem by Aarzoo Mehek

You Will Have To Return

Rating: 4.9

You will have to return
To your own true self
Enough of living for other people
Enough of shifting your personality
To fit into others perspective
Enough of pleading and pleasing
For the people to stay in your life
Enough of condemning yourself
For some inhumane spirits
Enough of giving your beginning and end
To spare a withering unbalanced relationship
It needs two to construct
Enough of being exploited in the name of love
Now it's time to return home
It's time to raise your head
And live with dignity and poise.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
It's a wake-up call. Start all over again the moment realisation dawns. Nothing and nobody are important then your self-esteem n self respect.

Very true words Aarzoo. There is nothing than standing with self esteem and self respect. Very true it needs two to construct enough to be exploited in name of love.

Enough of shifting your personality To fit into others perspective.... //.... Self-love may not be desirable but finding one's dignity and poise through self-esteem and self-respect is quite legitimate and foremost. Live life honorably and change your priorities if need be. Thanks, Aarzoo ji.
