A Lost Relationship Poem by Heather Burns

A Lost Relationship

Rating: 4.0

The flowers
have lost
their petals.

Found refuge
somewhere
on a distant
shore.

Now the
season has
changed.

The grass
is lush and
green.

Tiny buds
awaken from
their winter's
nap.

A relationship
lost.

Another new beginning for another love lost. It made me think, however, for it's cost The bloom that was shared for someone Has come and being given to a new one...

I like this poem. The nature imagery is a perfect metPhor for death and rebirth of love in new forms. Bravo!

Yes - through time's passage the existence is lost, relationship also fades away, which is a pity. but definitely ushers a new era for the new comers (here the buds) ...... very nice
