A Nightmare - Poem by Samantha Morgan

I was shook.
I was shocked.
I was trembling on the floor crying.
You left me broken.
Crushed,
Barely able to move,
Barely able to make it out the door,
Barely able to leave the life we created.
But,
Unable to unfeel the pain.
Unable to see the raging hatred that radiated off your skin, unbearably burning into my memory.
Unable to hear your angry, merciless screams.
Those screams echo through my mind.
Those words you can never take back.
Those words you said are engraved my heart. Like a sharp dagger you tore apart my heart,
And left it forever scarred.
You left me forever afraid.
You left me there,
Broken.

Very emotional write about love and pain. Universally felt if one experiences relationship issues. The pain and suffering was felt as I read each line. (Report) Reply
