A lonely mom
where has dad gone
as this thought ran through me
a tear dropp woke me
a fascinated loving mom's eye
she found her 'him' in me
the old neighbor lady..who
serves him food as a duty said
'your son looks lovely..so much like you
your eyes nose and hair too
why don't you go see him'
'let's see' was all the reply from that rough man
a broken home that was
for the last six months
sharing the same roof those two..dad and mom
not a word shared between the two
one to the other they just provided
yet...yet..they never shared
'your eyes nose and hair too'
what the old lady said about me
did bring him to me....
Samanyan, here you have touched on several things- indifference, sublimation by mothers, neglected childhood, longing to belong- very touching and well composed. Mamta
