A Troubled Wandering Cloud-Sonnet Poem by Joseph Anderson

A Troubled Wandering Cloud-Sonnet

Rating: 4.9

I am one lonely passing cloud on high,
Surveying your great Mother Earth, below.
As I soar onward through this spacious sky,
I see the things that earthlings there should know.

I see deep oceans, dressed in green and blue,
Whose rippling waves dance shoreward, in full charge.
I see great mountains with their snow capped hue,
Green fields and shaded forests, standing large.

I watch the human masses as they tear
The mountain tops, pollute the living sea;
Besmirth the atmosphere, without a care,
Without a thought of their eternity.

And we, all clouds shed bitter tears of pain,
As we release cascades of acid rain.

A fantastic poem, if we all could look down and see the beauty we are destroying maybe things would change.

Seeing the plight of Mother Earth, caused by man's reckless exploitation of the natural resources and his assault on the enviorns, clouds shed tears of pain, releasing cascades of acid rain! ! Great Imagination! A great Sonnet and a10

Beautiful Sonnet.... You have covered all the wonders of nature from the deep oceans to the top of the mountains When the clouds shed out tears it will look like rain When we shed out bitter and painful tears it will look like cascades of acid rain. Enjoyed reading each lines. Thanks for sharing with us.

Oh yes i agree with u heart n soul. Acid rain and many diseases are as a result of man's doings and environmental and moral corruption and pollution. Yors was a creative tour de force imagind frm a cloud's vantage point. Kudos.
