Action Replay Poem by Akhtar Jawad

Action Replay

Rating: 5.0

Thinking in sleepless nights,
sometimes a sorrow sometimes a joy,
life is both regrets and prides,
in both the cases I desire an action replay,
either to enjoy once again,
or to change the wrong decisions,
I know that's impossible,
but my imagination rewinds my life,
and when I succeed in changing my past,
my eyes become impatient,
start gaining weight,
the heavy eyelids know a magic,
haven't you seen the yawning of a restless life,
a nice attempt to breath in a new world,
a big success, a deep and peaceful sleep!
Isn't it a paradise where thinking expires for a few hours,
no worries no dreams!
A glimpse of death with a message for me,
don't be afraid of death,
it's a blessing of God!

Wish we could rewind life and rectify all the mistakes... There is always hope for new peaceful life hereafter. Death comes as boon for the lovers of God. Beautiful poem.10

Amazing write Akhtar and very thought provoking, to rewind life and try and live a better life with the wisdom we now have, would be a wonderful way to be able to change the past like a rebirth of our souls!

The little death of sleep is a glimpse into the nothingness from which I came and will soon return. I do not fear it as it is an inevitability and will release me from the pains and sorrows that accompany consciousness.

Isn't it a paradise where thinking expires for a few hours, no worries no dreams! As we lie down to sleep, we replay our past to analyze where all we went wrong and when we have been victorious! But when sleep comes to drown all our worries and nagging thoughts, it is bliss! Well written!
