Every year when the leaves fall upon my tomb
and the ants will take 'em away
then the birds will take it to build the nest.
a new life will begin at the top of the shaft.
A life I've lived will not be different
from the life they're going to live on this earth
The story will differ, but the model will remain the same
And this will continue till eternity.
I won't be there to witness this all
life, dead and life again
changing seasons and birds chirping
dancing peacocks, flowing streams.
Into my grave, I will be in a different world
peace, serenity, patience shall accompany
dreams that float all around will entertain.
until I woke up from my profound slumber.
We all keep guessing about death and a life after death and this one is wonderful in its own way.
Fabulous poem Asim ji. We all go through such thoughts about death. But we can find no concrete answers for it.
