Albert Einstein 25 - Einstein's Academic Aspirations Poem by Geeta Radhakrishna Menon

Albert Einstein 25 - Einstein's Academic Aspirations

Rating: 5.0

The world was becoming aware,
Slowly but steadily, of a budding scientist
With revolutionary ideas and concepts,
Though they were unaware of the real truth.
Normally, such research papers are written
By students of reputed institutions or universities,
With science laboratories and instruments,
And solid academic support from their professors.

But Albert Einstein was an exceptional human being.
His ideas bloomed like fresh petals of a flower.
If lotus can grow in muddy, slushy water of a pond,
So could Einstein's genius bloom in a Patent office.
It is while working in the Patent office in Bern,
That Albert Einstein managed to get his Ph.D degree.
He wrote twenty five dynamic research papers on topics
Which an ordinary man would never dream of.

Albert aspired and longed for academic positions,
But that kept eluding him for a long while.
The reason partly was his own stubborn nature,
He never liked to follow rules laid down by the universities.
He applied to the University of Bern in 1907.
They needed an unpublished research paper.
Instead of complying with their rules,
Albert sent them a set of his old published works.

Funnily, Albert had sent them a resume
That consisted of nine lines only!
He felt that was more than enough
For a teaching job in the University.
Needless to add, his application was rejected.
Albert continued to apply for positions elsewhere,
To Gymnasium in Zurich and Technical college in Winterthur.
But all proved unsuccessful!

Ma'am this is stupendous. Indeed some people are like this. They are not bound for any praise or appreciation for their light glows like a sun always but their very character makes them look like a failure. Ma'am into my favourite.

Though some may call it arrogance or high-headedness yet the worth of a person is better known to him then others. I am sure now those university, colleges must be regretting why they did not allow such genius to inspire other atleast to become some like him.

So is the world and so the pattern. I am sure these universities, colleges, institutions must be repenting now. Had they allowed him they would have been many scientist like him. How often we repeat same mistake.

A Genius looks in real life sluttish, slow and not so alert, but this is only the outside look, I know this habit too well, since my own and only bro is a genius too. Genius is genius, wherever they are born. Their brains are working constantly, all the time and genius never follow rules, so true
