There was a silence throughout the grey skies
No birds singing a hopeful tune
All I hear was yr whimpering
I wanted to continue, but realised yr legs
Were kind of twisting
I panicked and started to cry
As I picked you up and carried you back home
You were heavy but it didn't seem to matter
I wanted to get you inside as soon as possible
The tears didn't stop as I laid you on the couch
I covered you with a blanket
Rubbing yr legs as I was praying
To a G-d that gave you to me
Visions of putting ypu down raced in my head
You got up wanting to walk
And then, by the grade of G-d
You walked to yr water dish,
As though G-d saw my saddness
And had pity on both of us
