Music, Oh mysterious sprite!
Lift us to the seamless realms of delight
Your ubiquitous presence we feel;
In the hum of crickets
In the silence of the stars
In the falling cataracts
In the running streams
You are there in the lone sea breakers
And under the swift wings of the wind
Come as subtle vibes to saturate our being,
Winding your way through every sinew
Enfold us in your rapturous hold,
Raising our souls to the magic of rhapsody
Paint intangible pictures in silence,
Creating a sensation beyond the reach of words
Let our souls savor the taste of ecstasy,
Daubing myriad hues on all ugly stains
Land us in the sequestered pools of oases,
As the blistering sands leave burns on our souls
Oh Music! Come and fill me
Soak me from foot to crown
Like a falling drizzle
Like a caressing soft wind
Like a marauding sensation
Drown me
In the subaqueous quietude of the sea
Levitating me through ether
And lifting me up onto the borders of heaven!
Music is absolute soother to our ears, our mind, our body and changes our mood for good. Well said Mam.
The universal message of music overcomes all barriers and soothes the troubled spirit. It can be heard all around us everyday. Is not only heard or felt with musical instruments, but in nature, the sea and the sky. God's gift to tickle and tease the senses. Lovely tones.
Only a poet can feel the music in the silence of the stars and bring out a poem of resounding magnitude. Beautiful poem providing an echo of nature's music. Thank you.
Like a falling drizzle/Like a caressing soft wind/Like a marauding sensation...sparkling expression! A fascinating ode to music dear madam! Top score! !
A poem with an extraordinary diction! Four words of Latin etymology (by instinct, I know what they mean,) but I never used them. I find, Poetry is a great way of preserving rare words: enriching the vocabulary! This poem wonderfully blends Music with Poetry!
Music thrills our lives and gives us full contemplation. What a music can do has been depicted touchingly by you. A brilliant poem.
That is a very fitting ode to music. I loved the concluding stanza. You weave magic with words. (10)
I liked the way you have rendered your thoughts on music mam. In the first stanza, you have defined music in your own way that meaningful silence for a while and falling cataracts produces music. The next stanza describes what music can bring in ones life and finally welcoming it into your life!

I would like to translate this poem
Music is the touch of pleasant vibrations, it touches the heart, it touches the soul but when it touches a poetess, we get such a beautiful and wonderful poem from her.....................10
