Andaman 7 - The Dazzling Invertebrates Poem by Geeta Radhakrishna Menon

Andaman 7 - The Dazzling Invertebrates

Rating: 5.0

Serene yet, dazzling Invertebrates
Sea animals without a back bone,
Settled in the bed of rocky sea,
Soft, boneless, yet
Sensational beings with life,
Squids that can grow and grow into large size,
Sensitive to touch without a shell around them.
Sea Anemones - polys with petalled tentacles,
Sponges, so pretty in orange and pink,
Secluded jelly fish, laid out into a green blue design,
Sea fish galore, tiger fish shaped like a little tiger,
Sea green parrot fish with a charming pout, so cute,
Sea horse with a head shaped like a tiny horse,
Silly clown fish too, that can make you laugh with its dance!

A sea is the treasure trove of wonders.....! What amazing creatures dwell there! When we watch them, we cannot help wondering at life's diversity and for a moment our jaws drop thinking about the ingenious hands that created them! This poem is a beautiful peep into the deep caverns of the ocean and the interesting creatures that inhabit them!
