1.Prologue
"Flowers are joyous appreciation,
God's beautiful, colourful creation; ................
Gorgeous! Ah! vibrant, celebration,
Flawless, fearless, charming, inspiration.'

2. The Beautiful Lotus
'The beautiful lotus,
Standing on muddy waters,
Untainted - uncluttered -unhampered,
So pure- but arduous to attain! '

3. The Ravishing Hibiscus
' Hides nothing - reveals all
Holding the calyx, corolla, stamen and pistil,
Head up in a graceful slant,
With healing powers,
Herb that can add a flaming zeal
To hypnotise and command! '

4. ‘Neelakurunji' - The Purple Blue Flowers
' I watched the sprightly dance of the windy mountains,
Standing, stretching, turning, twirling,
Spreading, sprawling along the Munnar hills. Then,
I danced too, along with the magical, purple-blue flowers! '

5. A Red, Red Rose
' I was born with a spark of love,
With loving light,
With lustrous beauty,
Only to love, only to be loved'

6. The Angry Rain & The Pink Rose
'But Alas! When the monsoon arrived,
The rains poured down in great anger,
The rains pounded the earth, trees and hills, without sympathy,
The rains just devoured the houses and people without any empathy.
What wrong have I done to be blown away by the fiery, rainy storm?
What sin have I committed to be torn and crushed into the deep earth? '

7. The Lovely Lily
' Lovely, pink, white, lily
Bright and pure, laughing Lily,
Dancing with might, lilting Lily,
Yearning for light, luminous lily,
Delightful, romantic, fragrant Lily! '
