I love my wife, and she deserves having me,
…..though, on many topics, we do not agree.
She loves me, but at times just won't admit
…that we ARE, for each other, a "good fit".
Examples:
She has all the money; I help her to spend.
I wear holes in socks; socks she does mend.
She does cooking; the dishes I do then lick.
She washes clothes; I hang to dry real quick.
If ever I said, or implied, she's not perfect,
I must have been wrong.I mean incorrect.
I deserve HER, after, with 3 wives, I "failed".
After 12 years married, we have prevailed*!

*prevail:"be victorious"
I agree. Two persons can't be identical, but compatible. There are differences and diversity. One should or at least try to accept the diversity because it is natural. Nice poem and real issues.
A good advice for married couples- - The poet's note to be noted. Thank you for sharing.

Your wife must be very brave, To lift you up from the grave Of three failed marriages, But then life is a vain out for mirages. But still some of your counsels are sound, And formed from a valid ground.
Oops, vain look out for mirages.
