Christmas 5 -A Wise Snow Owl Poem by Geeta Radhakrishna Menon

Christmas 5 -A Wise Snow Owl

Rating: 5.0

A wise owl,
Stands amidst a snow land,
Stationary and still,
Aware of the cold winter,
Agile and vigilant,
Unperturbed by the cold wind,
Unconcerned by the pretty full moon,
Undisturbed by the silent night.

A wise snow witness,
Aware of the wonders of nature, yet
Unattached,
Unencumbered,
By nature's colourful display,
By its changing seasons, or
By man's unpredictable ways.

The wise, snow owl
Meditates on God,
Prays with a pure heart,
Ever blessed,
Ever peaceful.

And the wise owl knows the call watches the full night and then fly to sleep as the sun rises. Wise owl of winter never misses its goal. Beautiful madam.

Interesting for me to read this, Geeta, as just yesterday I was reading about the Elf owl, the world's smallest, some of which can occasionally be found in the southern part of our state. -Glen
