Christmas 4 - Knock And It Shall Be Opened To You Poem by Geeta Radhakrishna Menon

Christmas 4 - Knock And It Shall Be Opened To You

Rating: 4.9

God dwells everywhere!
In the sun, moon, air and sky,
In the water, earth, fire and mountains,
In the trees, flowers, fruits and every being.

During Christmas, the Lord appears before us
As charming birds, red, delicious cherries,
As Santa Claus, fairies, angels,
As men and women of merciful service to humanity,

O Jesus you said: "Ask and you shall receive,
Seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened to you.
Through the intercession of Mary, Your most Holy Mother,
I knock, I seek and I ask that my prayer be granted."

All prayers are granted by God,
If requested with love and humility.
The humblest are given a pride of place
In the kingdom of God and heaven.

All prayers are granted by God, If requested with love and humility.~// yeah right, I think so; with the love and humanity, with the unity and trustworthy welfare activity all prayers are granted by God; if believers and non-believers work together to the aim of peace establishment then this earth will be heaven step by step///

Geeta, this quote of Jesus is among his most hopeful and encouraging. I also think of, With God, nothing shall be impossible. I especially like the last two lines of this poem; "pride of place"—what a good phrase to express that truth. -Glen

The poem begins with the omnipresence of the Almighty God who manifests himself in myriad ways and moods of nature and listens to the prayers of those who are humble and true in their pursuit of his benevolence. Thanks, Geeta ji, for coming up with such a lovely poem in this Christmas week.
