Clouds In The Desert Poem by Aufie Zophy

Clouds In The Desert

Rating: 5.0

When we look at the world,
it seems we live in a desert:
heat of loneliness, of greed

But above the sand in our desert,
hang some soft, beautiful clouds.

Soon the clouds will rain out
with droplets of 'nice and kind'
drops of generosity and peace

Blades of grass will grow on the sand.
first a few, but it will keep raining.
Magic drops turning into more grass.

Soon the sand will be covered
by an adorable carpet of grass
from which flowers of love spout

A magnificent garden of happiness
for everyone, in the world to enjoy.
The hot sand of greed gone for ever!

This is a beautiful sustained metaphor, Aufie! It's true - those clouds are there and nothing can stop them from raining down. We shall indeed enjoy a garden of happiness.
