Dark Horse Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Dark Horse

Rating: 5.0

Run like the wind
Against the wintry clouds
Against the Iron Horse
That is faster than a bullet
Run like the wind
And feed the others yr dust
As you reach the summit
You curse those who want to destroy you
Finally, knowing yr strength
You look down and smile
It was all worth while

Great poem, LeeAnn. I could picture the horse running against the train, and love the way you finished with a rhyme. Five stars.

It can't help but be a great poem when it sends horses flying through my imagination! Very vivid picture you have painted here with your words!

Determination and perseverance seem to accompany your horse's every footfall, LeeAnn. The triumphant ending is pure delight.
