Daughter's Heartache (Fr. Aida Azzopardi) Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Daughter's Heartache (Fr. Aida Azzopardi)

Rating: 5.0

I feel alone
This space in my heart is hurting
It's a hole that yr love has left
The emptiness I try to fill it
With food and poetry is an enduring vortex
No matter what I do, to not think about you
Carries a burden I wish to leave
There's things like a memory making the pain increase
And the tears will not stop
I ache in darkness with no one's help
To relieve the sadness
I wander through the days idly; listening to gibberish
Understanding the words that have lost their meaning
I am clueless on what being sad
Only the night makes sense
For yr spirit comforts me in my dreams
In the morning, words become gibberish once more
And yr spirit's hugs are untouched

Sacred relationship. We have multiple ways to die but only one way to come to this earth that is through 'Mother'...Happy Mother's Day.

Your dear mother's spirit lives through your wonderful poetry, she speaks to you, and you to us that appreciate and love and respect you, very much. So, you see, dear Lee Anne, you are wrong, you are not alone.

An incredibly heartwrenching tribute to a mother whom you so deeply loved. As painful as the message is, it's so heartwarming to feel the love that you had for your mother. Amazing peace, LeeAnn!
