Drift Away Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

Drift Away

Rating: 5.0

Your smile,
Brightened up the saddest of days,
Your love missed in many ways,
Your laughter's a distant echo now,
Living without you?
I try, but I don't know how.
Your presence like an ocean wave,
Flowed like the love you gave,
And I won't forget that day,
When you closed your eyes,
And drifted away.

The deep love, Many had wished they had, had. So sad but so well written and felt, reaches the heart.

The great depth of sadness is so very well conveyed in your poem, Jayne. The progression from smilinglaughinggrieving is so heartfelt and very stirring to the reader.
