April 22, Earth Day, who cares?
Government's don't,
The politicians don't,
Big business don't,
The fossil fuel industry don't,
The global mining industry don't
Those using inorganic pesticides don't,
War mongers don't.
90% of CO2 pollution still comes from fossil fuels
Rain forests still getting ripped up,
60% of pollinators gone in last 40 years,
Rivers polluted by farming and business,
Oceans polluted with plastic,
Earths natural resources ripped out by mining
To feed modern electronic lifestyles,
Effects of war create climate change.
Another year when Earth Day 2023 is hardly
mentioned in the media, it's not that important
To them is it? They don't realise civilisations fail from
Five basic reasons: climate change, environmental
Degradation, political weakness/corruption and war.
Is this what we're all sleepwalking into?
