Is there a difference between writing by
Experience or writing by imagination?
The first will touch your heart...
The second would give you laughs!
One makes your heart and soul melt
The other tickles all your senses.
One touches upon realities of life
The other creates its own virtual reality.
You would tremble at a horrific experience,
Equally would shudder for a horror imagined.
You could be over taken with one or both using
These precious tools for poetic creativity when,
That ‘near self' bound by earthly experience
Calls upon ‘distance self' to unite in imagination.
So live your life and treasure your experience
Find time to imagine and create a life glorious,
Hilarious, sagacious, furious, serious or curious
Whatever you think hasn't come by way of experience.

A splendid write on experience and imagination Savita. Heart talk and mind talk. Experience is written from the heart imagination comes from an imaginative mind. Well penned 10
Both experience and imagination are needed for a poet! When they go in tandem, a great poem is born! You have brought out clearly the difference between works of pure imagination and of those born of experience!

Great advice in the form of poetry. Very well written. I enjoyed reading it.
Beautiful poem where both experience combined with imaginations spun the wonderful poetry. Explained the concept in a wonderful way. Loved reading it.
I just comprehend the difference between ‘Writing through experience’ and ‘writing by imagination’. I came to a conclusion to absolutely agree with your words, the former touches the heart and the latter provides loud fun! Both have their significance! An insightful piece of work! (10)
