They come,
like hooded serpents from dark holes
with venom in their fangs
ready to snap at.
Like,
Monsters from roaring seas
that rest on the sands
as boulders on a low - lying ledge
Or,
Vampires hurtling down
to suck the blood in the dark
with their outgrown canine teeth
They are,
Wasps swarming around
like embers from a furnace
with poisonous stings, hiding in their tails.
Living with them
is like getting enclosed in a blind alley
pacing forward and rushing backward,
seeing the gates fastened tight with iron shutters
or being chased after
by an elephant on rampage.
Never succumb, but defend the onslaught
for your arch enemy sure shall
shred you to pieces,
if let to be subdued………
Very true, actually these fears are guiding us to take protective steps to survive. We are not suppoesed to be be cowed down by these up coming fears..... very nice message.
This is beautiful, have no fears though if they are a monster then be yourself as a master, if they have sharp fang you got spirit bang bang, if vampires fears you with sharp canine...oh please send them to dentist hahahahahha so have no worry, nothing to worry except our own, inner fears and enemy....self can be helper and can make us weaker_Soul
As Shakespeare said, Sweet are the uses of adversity, so the fear will and can never be a cause of our fall. Never succumb, but defend the onslaught. and an shining diamond will emerge. Thoughtprovoking piece.
Very powerful...strong imagination! Fearful theme...Nice poem...thanks for sharing. A 10.
They come, like hooded serpents from dark holes with venom in their fangs ready to snap at......an attractive inscription and fascinating beginning. This poem ia so beautiful as per title. Visited time and again. Five stars.
A brilliant expression you have made on fears, dear madam. The beginning lines are more sharper than the fears. A strong felling is found in concluding stanza about how to subdue. Nice penmanship. I appreciate the way of presentation.10
Fear is such an overwhelming emotion that can hurt and destroy our peace of mind, this is so brilliantly written with awesome imagery!
History of human civilization reveals that fears changed the complexions of the world. Fears are usually the creation of a guilty conscience. When we make some wrong to someone we always remain afraid of his reactions, even his good deeds appear as misdeeds to us.

Fears look like monsters as if they are hell-bent to finish us but instead of yielding to them we should fight them out......Valsa......very nicely presented with wonderful words
