Summer has swooped down in violent fury
The razor blades of heat cut through the skin
I turn and toss in bed like a fish on an angler's hook
After the tryst when I wake, my top sheet is twisted like a rope
And the bottom sheet resembles a plate of scrambled eggs
And summer is back with this poem....Nice one yet again, changing weather will bring a new leaf to the life.
When weather changes it's felt more, start dreaming for the rains and prepare yourself to write a poem on rains.
Amazing style of narration and it's confluence with superb imagery has created this beautiful and realistic poem. Thanks for sharing.10 points.
In violent fury summer has swooped down. The summer is hot and season is still necessary. Many feel uncomfortable die to irritation. However every season is very important. This poem is very nicely penned.
Summer has swooped down in violent fury The razor blades of heat cut through the skin.....nice poetic expression with mirth. Nice presentation.
This is a perfect picture of summer. In our part of the world summers are really severe and uncomfortable. You convey that sense of uneasiness with perfection. Every line of this poem is sheer pleasure to read. The reader can feel the summer heat in his bones. A sure 10.
Restlessness of summer results in a trampled bed. So naturally described in the five liner. Enjoyed it.

I loved this poem Valsa ma'am, as you once again show your wonderful skill to CREATE fabulous imagery from the observation of the mundane.. A wonderful poem.. P: S: On a lighter note, this is the reason why my mother still scolds me - 'Whatever you do, at least keep your bed tidy you young brat! ! ' - I still get this at 24, and sometimes deliberately do it, just to listen to my mother scolding me: -) Thank you for sharing the poem, making me realise that I am still a naughty little brat that my mum thinks I am! !
Don't worry Souren...... you are not the only little brat ! You have enough companions! My sons who are of your age do the same in summer and winter! Like your mum....... I too go mad seeing it!
